MIRA TELECOM has completed the deployment of research project co-financed by EU funds


Between May 10 th, 2011 – August 09 th, 2013, MIRA TELECOM SRL, based in Bucharest, 12 Doamna Ghica St., 2 District, has carried on the project „Development of MIRA TELECOM’s infrastructure and research capability in the field of integrated communications and security systems”, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund, under the funding agreement concluded with the National Authority for Scientific Research, as an Intermediary Body.

The total value of the project was 7.997.390,84 lei, of wich 3.414.674,40 lei – non-reimbursable finnancial assistance. The project was implemented in Joița Commune, Giurgiu County, during a period of 27 months.

MIRA TELECOM and RFI România, partners at the International Book Exhibition from Paris

MIRA TELECOM will partner RFI România at the International Book Exhibition from Paris, where Romania is guest of honor. The 33rd edition of the event will be held between 22nd – 25th of March 2013 and will gather 27 Romanian contemporary writers, who will exhibit their works written in Romanian language or translated in French language.

RFI journalists will broadcast special shows, reportages and interviews, from the studio located in the National Book Center (CNL) stand, set up by the Romanian Cultural Institute.

The radio broadcast will include debates and interviews with writers such as Matei Vișniec and Ana Blandiana, historian Lucian Boia, the Ambassador of France to Romania Philippe Gustin and the Ambassador of Romania to France Bogdan Mazuru. see full article about Mira Telecom & RFI

MIRA TELECOM supports contemporary international literature at the International Book Exhibition from Paris

MIRA TELECOM is getting involved in cultural international events. The company will sponsor the participation of the radio station RFI Romania to the International Book Exhibition from Paris, which will be held between March 22nd – 25th 2013.

RFI Romania will broadcast during those days, information about the event, straight from the exhibition pavilion from Porte de Versailles, Paris. Romania will be guest of honor at the 33rd edition of the International Book Exhibition from Paris. The status of guest country confirms the upward position of Romania on the international literary market. Another guest of honor will be the city of Barcelona. Romania’s international stand is organized by the Romanian Cultural Institute and within the stand, literary works written in Romanian or translated in French, by 27 writers- esseists, graphical novel writers, play writers, poets and novelists- from Romania and from the Republic of Moldavia, as well as Romanian writers who live abroad, will be exhibited.

MIRA TELECOM expressed its interest towards cultural projects last year also. The company sponsored the concert "Waiting for Christmas", a project of great cultural value, initiated and implemented by the Cultural Association "Grigore Leșe".

MIRA TELECOM involved in a European telecommunication project, with partners from sevean countries

Mira Telecom is partner in the project “Aerial Base Stations with Opportunistic Links for Unexpected & Temporary Events” (ABSOLUTE), with a total value of 11.2 mil. Euro, of which 8 mil. Euro is European financing.

ABSOLUTE  is a large project that gathers 16 partners from 7 countries  (France, Germany, Italy, Great Britain, Australia, Slovenia and Romania). MIRA TELECOM is the only partner from Romania and the component within the project, performed by the company, benefits from European financing worth  244,500 Euro. Among the partners, there are industrial companies, universities, small and medium enterprises, regulation institutions, network and satellite operators and end users.

The project ABSOLUTE was launched following the studies which showed that in the aftermath of a natural disaster, a calamity or an unexpected event, the telecommunication infrastructure plays a key role in the casualty rescue operations. In most cases the inherited land infrastructure is seriously damaged and cannot guarantee reliable services for the citizens and for the rescue teams.
