MIRA TELECOM involved in a European telecommunication project, with partners from sevean countries

Mira Telecom is partner in the project “Aerial Base Stations with Opportunistic Links for Unexpected & Temporary Events” (ABSOLUTE), with a total value of 11.2 mil. Euro, of which 8 mil. Euro is European financing.

ABSOLUTE  is a large project that gathers 16 partners from 7 countries  (France, Germany, Italy, Great Britain, Australia, Slovenia and Romania). MIRA TELECOM is the only partner from Romania and the component within the project, performed by the company, benefits from European financing worth  244,500 Euro. Among the partners, there are industrial companies, universities, small and medium enterprises, regulation institutions, network and satellite operators and end users.

The project ABSOLUTE was launched following the studies which showed that in the aftermath of a natural disaster, a calamity or an unexpected event, the telecommunication infrastructure plays a key role in the casualty rescue operations. In most cases the inherited land infrastructure is seriously damaged and cannot guarantee reliable services for the citizens and for the rescue teams.
