Mira Telecom is partner in the project “Aerial Base Stations with Opportunistic Links for Unexpected & Temporary Events” (ABSOLUTE), with a total value of 11.2 mil. Euro, of which 8 mil. Euro is European financing.
ABSOLUTE is a large project that gathers 16 partners from 7 countries (France, Germany, Italy, Great Britain, Australia, Slovenia and Romania). MIRA TELECOM is the only partner from Romania and the component within the project, performed by the company, benefits from European financing worth 244,500 Euro. Among the partners, there are industrial companies, universities, small and medium enterprises, regulation institutions, network and satellite operators and end users.
The project ABSOLUTE was launched following the studies which showed
that in the aftermath of a natural disaster, a calamity or an unexpected
event, the telecommunication infrastructure plays a key role in the
casualty rescue operations. In most cases the inherited land
infrastructure is seriously damaged and cannot guarantee reliable
services for the citizens and for the rescue teams.
